Wow, three weeks without a single written up entry. Well, mostly it was work and WoW and figuring out what I can eat. Not too interesting outside my own head, I'm thinking. The WoW stuff can to some degree be followed by the pix on flickr. I haven't updated my WoW journal any more than this one. :(

The baby WoW guild that Kurt & I & Russell and Rachael started is still meeting once a week and we're hitting our 20s and getting mounted. We even queued for LFD the other day and didn't suck.

Gwen & Nette & I got together to play Wii once (we mean it to be weekly but life happens). Russell and I continue to bowl together regularly. I am on a challenge on Fatsecret to do 15 minutes a day but so far I'm lame at actually doing it.

My weight is about 194 and stalled. That is one of my set points. I have maintained that weight level off and on for years. I'm shooting for 155 so I still have quite a ways to go. And this time when I get down to that weight I have to stay on maintenance. But finding out how toxic carbs are for me should help. Having no GERD/IBS symptoms on a low carb diet really rocks.

Russell is off at Photoshop World in Vegas this week, so I am really boring - lots of WoW. Singing tomorrow night if anyone shows up. Friday I fly to Vegas so we cn see La Reve, which looks to be amazing from othe promos (and various YouTube videos I've watched, this this one). It is by the same designer as "O" though it isn't a Cirque show. It has the same multilevel elemental look. I am really looking forward to it. The trickiest thing about Las Vegas will be eating I imagine. I plan to stay on plan but have a Volcano at the Rum Jungle if it is still there. Hopefully it won't set me back too much.

I loved Le Reve; it has a very cirque feel - and a real cirque show, not a cirque+celeb show. the splash seats are great - and the Wynn has an awesome buffet where you could probably get a low-carb selection (although the fried chicken is in my all time top 5 fried chicken including Thomas Keller, so it's about the willpower!)

Good to hear. We're at the Mandalay Bay because that is where PS World is. I'll tell Russell about the Wynn Buffet though. I'm safe from the fried chicken since I don't actually *like* chicken. *grin*

But... I like beetroot and marzipan. Not that I can have them either. Although I did find a low carb marzipan (maltatol or whatever instead of sugar), you had to buy it by the pound and bringing a pound of marzipan into my house... just no.

My sister was just diagnosed at having GERD and said that the doctors told her "no roughage". I asked her how she was going to survive not being slapped around like she likes. ;P

Thanks for this entry because it gives me information to help her out!

Good job on the weight loss! I'm on the same track.

Send her this link - http://thehealthyskeptic.org/heartburn - that is what really got me on track. I eat plenty of roughage... I don't eat sugar. I spent years with the doctors giving me anti-acid meds and even a bile inhibitor (that was the last straw... one side effect is decalcifying your teeth!) I stopped taking all meds back in April and my stomach isn't upset! I really think that blog saved my life.
