catching up
Nov. 24th, 2003 09:19 amI haven't posted in a week, I see. It is a combination of having fun offline and having to spend my online time reading COG Board mail. *sigh* So, what have I been up to?
Russell and I had dinner with Katya at Salang Pass in Fremont last Thursday. We had a lovely conversation and good lamb dishes. A little to much cilantro for me (despite asking that they not sprinkle it on mine). I really wish I liked the taste of cilantro since some of my favorite cuisines seem to want to use it.
Friday was my usual round of Farmer's Market and housework. I had a nice dinner with Kurt that night. Saturday we had a circle and Sunday I had planned to have lunch with
sbisson as he flew through San Francisco on his way home to London, but the vagaries of planes defeated me. It was noted as being 1-1/2 hours late at the time it was supposed to leave Salt Lake (and I understand was later still). I wanted to attend the Les Barker reading at Espresso Garden and the doors opened at 3:30 so San Francisco was unfortunately not possible. The reading was wonderful. Seeing him grin and grimace adds a whole new dimension to his amazing poetry. Also the fact that the audience chants along on some of the refrains adds a bit of fun. Kurt & Marina and Steve & Colleen were among the familiar faces there.
