Am I an extrovert after all?
Mar. 9th, 2003 07:07 amFriday: With my car being unavailable I got a lot of housework done. (She says channelling Pollyanna ;-) And I made the necklace for Pomba that I've been collecting beads for. Oh, and Dr. Sklarin called and the biopsy showed my goiter to be benign (as expected). And had a lovely evening with Russell.
Saturday: Cleaned house since the NCLC CoG meeting is here at 2pm. I had hoped it would be warm enough to meet outside but the cold wind was just too much. We had a good meeting with two new applicant covens. There is lots of great interfaith stuff going on including a very cool Interfaith Earth Day on April 27th (yes, that's the day before we leave for Europe but I really do want to go).
After the CoG meeting most folks had to run away, but Russell, Deborah and I went out to dinner. We had an interesting and wide-ranging conversation but one thing that sticks in my mind was talking about introverts and extroverts. There is evidently an article in Harper's that Deborah read that says introverts are drained by being around people and need alone time to recharge and that extroverts are energized by being around people. I always thought of it as being about shyness/self confidence rather than something like energy drain/increase. Thus, being shy, I always thought of myself as an introvert. But I find being around people energizing, so maybe I'm an extrovert after all. I hope David drops this particular Harper's in the break room (as he often does when he is done with them) as I would be interested to read the article. I find my worldview somewhat shaken here! Those who know me... what do you think? Do you see me as an introvert or an extrovert?
