King Tut, Warriors and roof
Jul. 13th, 2005 08:43 amI was busy at work this week, getting a lot done to be ready for my roadtrip. Now I'm packed and ready to head off to Santa Barbara where I'll stay with Erika and Reaps. Tomorrow the three of us will head off to Los Angeles Museum of Art to see the King Tut exhibit. I missed it the first time around, so I'm really happy to be attending this time. Hopefully Linda & Nardin will join us (Linda's health permitting) and we'll go to the Bodhi Tree and have dinner together. Then back to Santa Barbara and the drive home on Friday. This will be the longest trip I've done in the Prius. I'm looking forward to it! I probably won't be online or reading Lj.
Oh, I suppose I should record something about the BFUU devotional last night. This month we danced for The Warriors (Exu, Ogum, Oxossi & Ossain). I went out for Ogum and Oxossi. Oxossi was trying to tell me something but I got too much into my own head and lost the contact. Bah. I need to figure out longer duration trancing. I am open enough to accept an Orixa, but other than Pomba, they mosty don't stay all that long. This weekend we're having a Warriors BBQ party and Yangi making. I couldn't make last year's Yangi making, I'm looking forward to having another Exu guarding my house. Ooh, that reminds me. I should give him some rum for watching Russell whilst I'm away. It makes me feel better that he is on guard when I'm away.
Oh, and the roof is off our house! They found there were four layers of roof. It is very weird to be able to look up and see sky between rafters. By the time I get back home it should all be re-roofed.
