My busy week
Oct. 20th, 2005 10:48 amWork is totally crazy this week getting ready for next week's patent meeting. I expect next week to be equally crazy. I do plan to drive down to Monterey on Monday to see the exhibits at Internet Librarian. But I have meetings and searches galore. I'm so glad it is Thursday!
Tuesday Matthew had loaded about 800 caches near my home or work into my GPS so I would have to hand enter them. He told me what tech I need to be able to do it myself. Yay. So yesterday I had my DMV appt, and I got there early. So I looked for the nearest cache and it was only a block away so I went and found it before my appt. Wow. That was fun.
Wednesday I tried the same thing... the traffic going home was too heavy so I decided to stop and find a cache. But I didn't have a print-out in my bag for the location. Much less successful! I really need to get a cachemate database going on my palm. :-) If I don't have room on my phone I may reactivate the Tungsten E sitting in my cupboard as a dedicated geocache machine. *grin*
I have just been too busy with other things to geek out on geocaching this week. Though I admit it has taken discipline! I recorded another go at my first podcast Tuesday. I'm happy with this one and I think I'll probably go with it. I decided to introduce myself rather than talk about the Parliament in general reporting terms. I would rather get someone at CPWR to give me an interview. Then last night I worked for about 3-1/2 hours on the DoF newsletter. Hopefully I can finish it tonight.
I started to write the other day about the Seven Natural Laws of Love by Deborah Anapol. I haven't seen the book yet, but someone mentioned her various signings this weekend and I read the "Laws" and they really resonated. I would swear I wrote about this but I can't find it. Too bad. I remember being fairly eloquent. *mystified*
I still haven't decided what to wear to the Hunger tomorrow. I'm just not feeling all that vampiric! Maybe I'll drive by LeatherMasters on my way home tonight and see if they still have that yummy oriental top I admired a few months ago. I'm just too rosy and curvaceous to really do a Gothic Vamp. ;-)
