zoned out

This is a long hiatus from me but I just didn't feel like writing. I seem to be in a "shut down" mode where I am reading and vegging rather than doing things. I guess I'm catching up to my self. Russell is working late, so I haven' even ha dto cook dinner. I'm really tired from not sleeping well (because of the discomfort of my shouler) and that probably contributes too. I've worked hard whilst at work (the holidays are *definitely* over) and basically come home and zoned. I watched the pilot & first two episodes from Stargate SG1 from the dvd I rented from netflix on Wednesday and then Thursday I started re-reading Changer by Jane Lindskold after mentioning it in [livejournal.com profile] tricksters. It is as good a book as I remembered.

Today [livejournal.com profile] pearlshadow made a trip down by BART but was only able to spend a small amount of time here. It was awfully nice to see her though. We ran out of time to even grab lunch together. And there was a series of accident on 880 that made the trip exceedingly slow. I was only grateful that I had successfully gotten her to the station on time.

Back to Changer and maybe a nap. I'll catch up on reading friends' journals "another day". *yawn*

I know what you mean, a lot of this month I've been working and watching shows from the PVR and not doing much of anything, even reading. this weekend I finally perked up, went out shopping and accidentally bought a labdorite bracelet (oops!), measured, cut, predrilled and countersunk all the wood for two bookcases, three shelves and a new coatrack, made wire earcuffs to turn two necklaces into earrings (the chain loops twice around the cuff then down to the ear stud), almost finished my jigsaw, helped Simon tidy the kitchen glory hole (for which, two of the shelves), vacuumed the hall on two levels and did some administrivia. No wonder I'm tired this morning!!!
