I found the first section where Helen Thomas Takes on Ari Fleischer about the Iraqi people quite interesting. I wish we saw more of that attitude in the actual press.

Well. That's an unusual significator!

Which tarot card are you?

Destiny, fortune, luck, success. The 4 elements. Unexpected turn of luck. In the midst of sky and clouds is the disk of Tarot with the letters of the Divine Name placed between. At the corners are the four guardians of the earth: the eagle, the man, the bull and the lion. The disk is in movement signifying constant change and transformation. The sphinx atop the wheel holds the sword of discernment and represents balance in the midst of unending fluidity.

... and she gets away with saying things no other journalist can say simply because she's been in the White House Press Corps *forever* and knows where all the bodies are buried. (That, and the fact that whippersnappers like Ari Fleischer don't *dare* slap down an 82-year-old woman.)

It's going to be a sad day when she finally retires (or, more likely, dies on the job).

Quite so. Maybe we should point to her as a *very*non-useless older woman for Z. :-)n

I have always found Helen Thomas to be an amazing and gutsy womyn. She asks the hard questions and has never tossed any softballs. Those were good questions and I was disgusted by the responses from Fleischer.

As for your iPod ... sorry to hear you lost the zillions of tunes you had in it!

Luckily the tunes all still existed on my hard drive and after many gyrations and reloadings of software the iPod is up again. I'm up to 3200 songs!

3200 tunes ...

Thank all the gods there are some press folks left who ask real questions. The only questions their interested in asking in the UK, it seems, are either too personal or too confrontational and on the wrong issues...
