Mark Morford mentioned The First International Christian Polygamist Website in today's Morning Fix and I am reading it with a certain amount of fascination and amazement. Somehow you just know I had to read the section on Bisexual Women in Echad Polygamy which shared this charming information: "I became involved in homosexual/lesbian ministry about 15 years ago and discovered early on that the roots of these are entirely abnormal and (at the risk of giving offence ... but the truth must out) demon-mediated. I also discovered that homosexuality and lesbianism usually has one of five origins: (a) experimentation with same-sex sex; (b) homosexual/lesbian rape; (c) involvement with the occult such as Wicca or Satanism; (d) dysfunctional relationships with a dominating/absent father or mother; and (e) generational curses (inherited sins). That many believe they are "born" homosexual or lesbian is often the result of demon-mediated curses that are passed onto us through our ancestors who may have been involved in the occult, Satanism, Wicca, or related practices. The causes can be multiple.

Gee, it is so interesting to find that involvement in Wicca causes generational demon-mediated curses to be passed on to our descendants that make them queer. Who knew?

Hey... one of her discoveries in researching her pooka paper (which she has finally finished) is that the pooka was regarded as a demon at at least one point in history (the line between demons and fairies being a little blurry at times). Could it be that.... The Pooka made us queer? Maybe that's where all those "fairy" references to gay men come from! Generational pooka-curses (blessings in disguise?) from our witchy ancestors!

Now I want a paganized version of one of those queer-Christian buttons: Lesbian by the grace of the Pooka!

*nods* That is *just* what I thought of too. The site is actually kinda fascinating. Not a belief-system that I find at all attractive but the way they work out scripture to support how they want to live is fascinating. I'm so glad I'm a Witch!
