San Jose is shocked and freaked out by the fact this can "happen here". People seem to have no consciousness about the pervasive racism everywhere. *sigh* The dark complected South Asian university president was all "he is no stranger to prejudice" and whilst I believe him, I also believe that he has catered to big money (avoiding scandal) and not to students needs. I was so glad the turn-out was good.
