Digital revolution #1 as of August 85% of American adults have used the internet and 66% have broadband at home. People spend more time online. 69% are on social networkds, 59% share photos and videos, 37% contribute rankings or ratings, 33% create content tages, 30% share personal creations, 26% post comments, 16% use twitter, 14% are bloggers, 18% of smartphone users shair their locations; 75% get location info and do location sharing.

People on tablets take more time consuming media than smartphone users. There is a rise of reading the next day's news at bedtime.

21% of adults read an ebook in the last year
68% read a print book
11% listended to an audiobook
30% of e-content readers say they are reading more now
readers of ebooks tend to be younger (under 50), college educted and making $50K+. They are more likely to buy than to borrow. There is a lot of data on how people use devices - see his slides.
12% of readers of e-books borrowed an e-book from the library in the past year. But a majority of Americans do not know that this service is provided by their local library. Report on Libraries, patrons, and e-books
