Yesterday was Juan Santamaria Day, so much of the town was closed. Even the restaurants on the beach. Next time I come I want self-catering!

But school went on, they are taking Friday off instead to give folks a 3 day holiday. My class went on much as before. One of the topics we discussed was music, which really showed my age (and/or lack of pop culture impulse anyway). The teacher and the Quebec guy both recommended a Calle 13 video on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkFJE8ZdeG8 I really loved the tight cuts and animation and imagery of Latin America.

So today will be my last day of classes. I am trying to get a snorkeling tour for Fri or Sat. But it is a minimum of two, so I have to wait to see if someone else signs up. I need a buddy.

Still not sleeping well. I had a nightmare that a friend somehow did something to the back of my hair that buzzed it off. I was going to have to get one of those short middle aged cuts that I abhor. Nooooo. I wonder what my subconscious was up to with that?

Okay, enough chatter. Think I will walk on the beach before breakfast.

Your hair is a big part of you, maybe you were processing the changes in life/work taking place...not wanting to be too constrained from who you really are

Yeah, I think the short middle age haircut is a particular fear of mine. It was weird in the dream because it was well meaning, whatever my friend did. Dressing for job hunting has been on my mind. But the question was whether to due the grey, no thougts of cutting here. And one of the reasons I went ahead and put my name on FB was because googling myself showed that anyone hiring me is going to see I am a Witch and queer and unconventional in various ways on the first page. This whole finding a job thing is kinda fraught. *sigh*

if they FB you, they can't then not hire you for being unconventional because that would be discrimination ;-) catch 22 for HR

if they cut the back off we'd just give you an undercut and dramatic wings at the side, braid in a few ribbons and twists... give you a new look ;-)

I'd love to go back to fuchsia if it didn't mean bleaching my hair to get it light enough to have true colour. Salons don't seem to do unnatural colours anymore though and I am so not doing it myself. I haven't seen people doing hair wraps any longer either. I always liked those.

the latest hairdye I picked up included bleach powder to put in the dye bottle and I am now kind of scarily blonde!

Good morning little school girl. . Well, my 2 cents worth... hair could mean strength like in Samson and Delilah and that maybe something or someone is sapping your strength or trying to censor you. I've also heard that the cutting of one's long hair may denote a decision being made or pondered on. Or... as in your earlier post you just don't like sleeping alone. Welcome to my world.

I do hope you get to snorkel on your days off from school. I can only imagine the fun and the underwater views. Say hello to the silkies and kelpies for me.

My first Craft trad definitely had a long hair is power thing going. I always liked the 'spell of comb and mirror' type of thing where you brush your hair as meditation.

I don't like sleeping alone in the least. /me offers comforting hugs for your world.
