Winding down

rowanfI have filled many bins with papers this week and unsubscribed from scores of email lists. I am running out of things to do it be ready to leave. I am so ready to leave. Today is supposed to be my penultimate day at work but I hope it is my ultimate day instead. This morning driving 25 miles in the driving rain, I have to say that part of the job I won't miss.
I will miss the job, the challenge of searching for things, the people with whom I've worked and probably other things that I will only notice once I'm gone. I'll miss the restaurants that now are too far away to dine at.
Letting go, grieving, preparing to move on.
