Violet Blue's "How to Seduce a Mac Geek: A Macworld Sex Guide". It is work safe. ;-) I'm not actually going to MacWorld this year. I didn't buy my exhibits pass back whilst they were $25 and $45 is just more than I'm willing to pay (not to mention parking). I wouldn't mind going through. *sigh* I want to see the iPhone. I have had a *most* unsatisfying day with respect to phones and I am just #*$&# done with Verizon Wireless. My beloved Kyocera palm phone has been dying. A couple of months ago I contacted Verizon to see about getting a new phone. I was willing to go for a Treo but they told me I wasn't eligible for an upgrade and would have to pay full price. I said I'd just get another Kyocera and they said okay you do that. So I spent a couple of month watching ebay auctions until I *finally* got one. So today I took it to a Verizon store and they wouldn't activate it, "We don't support those anymore." What!!!???? I am so done with Verizon. And I just spent $90 for a phone I can't use. The iPhone won't be out for six months. I need a phone now. I guess I'll see what kind of deal I can get on a Treo with Cingular. I am just that sick of Verizon. Of course, I threatened to leave them when all this first happened but Russell and I have a family account and he talked me out of it. Not this time.

I also went into the Apple Store but they didn't have a power adaptor for my iBook in stock. It is being one of those days. Kurt kindly gave me one of his extras around the office. I was getting worried that I'd damage the internal part of it with my wonky connector. I wonder if the new mag cords will be more or less annoying. If I had $3K hanging around I'd buy a MacBook Pro and find out. I am really impressed with how fast Second Life runs on Kurt's!

Aw, geez, I wish I'd known--I had a code for free exhibit hall passes, and am likely to get these for future conferences, due to my employer. Still leaves you with parking, I suppose, but it would have helped.

I've rn into problems with Verizon wireless. Sometimes it helps to tell them right there you will switch to another carrier.
