Kelly Freas was a long time hero of mine and I met him when he used to come every year to BayCon, our local SF convention. For a couple of years he did portraits in the Artist's Ghetto outside the dealers room. Whilst he did my portrait I told him about how much I admired him and mentioned a set of posters he did for the local library system in Virginia when I was a child and how I had begged the Wizard poster off the librarian when the campaign it was part of ended and how I am now a librarian by trade and really wished I had managed to keep the poster that I had treasured for so many years. He was touched and his wife wrote my name/contact info down and before too long I got a copy of the poster and all the other things he did for that library campaign and the poster was signed to me and it was and is one of the coolest things anyone has ever done for me. I am still a hopeless fan girl and was very saddened by his passing (http://rowanf.livejournal.com/227365.html).
Ooooh, I love that pottery place! Wow. Too bad they don't seem to have the selling of things very well linked on their site.
I am soooo not thinking about wearing corsets at the moment. *laugh* Not that we could have a photoshoot anytime soon anyway.
I love icons and there are quite a few Lj icon communities including art_of_spirit for sharing such things. :-)
Let me know when you're ready to trade and I'll bundle up the coins and mail them. I hope King Boreas works out!
