getting home and fighting jet lag

Well, I did make it home safely. I managed to dose and read about half of Passage by Connie Willis which I'm enjoying a great deal. I got ome, did laundry, reconnected with Russell and went to bed at 9pm hoping that I would escape the worst jet lag.
Unfortunately, my body had other ideas. I got up on schedule and went off to work. I got to work and found that someone had put a cache a block away.
mr_kurt & I walked over and didn't find it because I was being dyslexic about which direction the hint had suggested one look. Bah. We did get it at lunch being about 5th & 6th to find.
By lunchtime I was dragging with we went out and the the nearby cache and another in the Portola Valley trail system. Boy, I'm glad we waited for summer to go for that one. In the wet it would be slippery mud. During the afternoon I tried to work but I'm not sure how effective I was. I was very glad Kurt & I carpool on Mondays as I asked him to drive my car home. I didn't feel safe operating heavy machinery. When he left I went to have a short lie down before Russell got home and slept from 6pm to 9pm! So much for getting anything done! I watched Russell play Myst for awhile and then went to sleep. I got up this morning at 5am as usual. Hopefully my 10+ hours of rest have gotten me back into western time. I really need to get some things done!
