cache found, MirrorMask

At lunch yesterday, unexpectedly released from lunch plans,
mr_kurt and I went back and found Quacky Quack. There were fewer mother and kids around so we were able to be a bit more active in our search. Duck E. Bug is deposited and waiting to move on to another pond somewhere. :-) I printed out a bunch of Berkeley/Oakland caches to try to hit before the going away party for Helen & Don on Saturday. I want to get my own travel bug, Salty Sailor, into a suitably nautical cache and get him on his way too.
Before family dinner I did a few more pictures of balloon (posted yesterday). I am a bit overwhelmed by the volume but I *love* the balloons! I met Russell & Brigid & Fiona at Miyake at 5:30. We met a little early so Russell and I could go on to Mirror Mask. It was... very arty. I think I would have loved it in college. Now, I thought it was interesting but slow. I'll be interested to see how it fares in wider release. The ticket taker at the Aquarius said they had been doing very well with it.
Speaking of movies, I loved the Unshelved strip yesterday. Since Russell and I practice movie fidelity, this was particularly apt. :-)

Date: 2005-10-05 03:19 pm (UTC)I went to see Serenity with my daughter and youngest son. Left hubby (who was off teaching a class and not free) and oldest son (who was at a bday party) and went without them. Hubby has pouted a bit about it, and watched the DVDs. We don't have the dinero to go til Friday now, gotta keep gas in the car. *sigh*
