Driving, recall and marriage

The moon set was really beautiful this morning. The sky was blackest black and the white moon hung large, sometimes enwreathed by grey clouds. There were an awful lot of idiots on the road though, so I couldn't really enjoy it as much as some months. *smirk* My assessment of them as idiots undoubtably means they thought I was an asshole. But going 60mph in the left lane whilst pacing some other idiot in the next lane *is* rude. What is the use of leaving for work at 5:30 am if you still have bad traffic?

The Recall Map shows Santa Clara County voted against the recall 58% to 42%. San Francisco was 80% against the recall. The greater Bay Area, Mendocino, Humbolt and Los Angeles County are the only ones though. Hmm.

I suppose I should say that I have (un)lawfully wedded lysana for the week along with any number of other folks. Her original proposal was here and blackfyr's excellent marriage service is here. It may just be whistling in the dark (and I admit I was tempted to try and get the folks on my friend's list to marry *me* in similar fashion ;-) but the Shrub's proclamation says, "During Marriage Protection Week, I call on all Americans to join me in expressing support for the institution of marriage with all its benefits to our people, our culture, and our society." So I'm supporting marriage by marrying Lysana and her other co-spice. The more marriages the merrier!
