dancing and such

Last night I went down to Santa Cruz to English country dancing. That is getting more fun every month I go. I heard about Bob & Teri's trip on a sailing ship in Maine, met a nice young man named Sam who has recently moved out from Baltimore and, of course, I danced and danced. I really miss the San Jose locale. *sigh* But going to join Kurt & Marina at their normal group has its pleasures I admit. :-) Moonset and sun rise were spectacular this morning. Coming in with Kurt makes me later than my usual so I got lush orange and blue sunrise opposite the black sky with setting moon. Too cool.
Today I working to make up some hours so that I can take afternoons off when my folks are here next week. I am really looking forward to their visit. :-) I hope they are up for some sightseeing as well as the usual sitting around visiting.
An event I would be horrible at -- World's Largest Pillow Fight. It was a Sheraton Hotels stunt which is kinda sad really. Even pillow fights have corporate sponsors. I found item whilst reading a weird press release blog, PR Bop. I'm noting that so I'll remember to check it again sometime. :-)

Date: 2003-10-10 09:47 am (UTC)Tall, a bit on the thick waisted side, with the look of a chubby cheeked boy about him? Also a very good dancer and caller, if he's the Sam I think you danced with.
He's a wonderful guy, and also an a.p. lurker. You're welcome to tell him I said "Hi," when next you see him.
