My mom and college prof have both had hip replacements which changes their lives. The absence of chronic pain is amazing, as I'm sure you are well aware. Recovery is very fast too, as long as you go along with the physical therapy and get moving almost asap. I say do it! I cant imagine you are down with pain interfering with sex, lol!
I enjoyed the night we went out to live theatre in SJ. I always plan to do that more than I do.
