I had a fun Friday inworld - a meet the artist at the Cannery gallery, a poetry reading and a fair amount of running around. I asked someone where she got her clothes and found a new favorite clothing place. I feel a shopping spree coming on! In part of my travels I found a fun full barbarian beard which Scar obligingly did a burly barbarian outfit to go with. Yum! Not sure it is what I'd wear in the cold though!

Russell and I are in San Francisco for our annual holiday weekend seeing the sights/lights. Last night we checked into our hotel... the wrong Hilton! Bah. I was so happy I had gotten a deal on rooms at the Hilton in the KQED auction. But we are at the Financial District Hilton on Kearny rather than the Union Square Hilton on O'Farrell. I had brought a fancy dress (and uncomfortable shoes) to wear to dinner. It is one thing if one is just taking an elevator to the restaurant so I decided not to change given the chqnge of venue. Good thing! There weren't any cabs and so we walked the mile between Hiltons. I was so glad to be wearing regular clothes!

The wrong hotel won't make any difference for our trip to Dicken's Faire today at least. I am looking forward to that!
