My actual tip is that Expedia had really great deals combining airfare and hotel rooms. I heard the desk clerk telling someone what their rack rate is here and I'm paying about half that. I told my travel agent what I could do via Expedia and she said she couldn't begin to match it. One one hand I find that sad as I really appreciate having a regular travel agent to help me through the travails of travel... but dang the price was great.
