Las Vegas does make me think of Pirates

So Friday I flew to Vegas. Met up with Russell & his friend Terri between convention events and had a lovely Cobb salad for lunch. It was nice to meet her. In the evening Russell & I went to La Reve. I liked it though it was more modern dance than acrobatics. And it was very white and hetero-normative. I saw two black and two Asian dancers amongst the 50-70 people in the cast. Part of me wags its finger at me for noticing instead of just enjoying it. The Wynn hotel decor very fun, kinda 60s flower child.

This morning the breakfast buffet turned me into a meat-a-terian but it was good and I will just have to find some veg at some point. The water park at the Mandalay is amazing. After breakfast we went an hour or so in the wave pool. And the walking! Wish I'd brought a pedometer so I could record the exercise I am surely getting. Also a sun hat and flip flops would be good if we do this again. Being out in the sun and waves did use up my spoons pretty quickly though.

I decided to go see the Lion King musical which is playing here in our hotel. We were then going to go to Rum Jungle but it is closed. I am so disappointed... no Volcano! So I have no idea where we'll eat tonight. Looks like the temptations won't be as big as I thought. The connection is really slow today so no WoW which makes me a sad panda.
