Life, Tuesday dinner & social networking
Nov. 28th, 2007 07:24 amIt has been a busy last few days. On Sunday I had my staff meeting inworld and then Russell & I went to see Enchanted (and rode the ferris wheel for the second day in a row - yay!). I cooked a couple of legs of lamb in preparation for Tuesday dinner and a ham just because. *grin* I am a "ham for the holidays" rather than turkey kind of person. Then we had circle in the evening.
Monday was work followed by bellydance rehearsal (we have a gig on Saturday night) and then more Tuesday dinner prep. Tuesday was work followed by a very nice Tuesday dinner where I served shredded lamb curry, cauliflower curry with rice, salad & naan. I thought the curries were great but I got distracted and the naan got overcooked. Ooops.
My new iPod (classic 80GB) came and I have been catching up on
polyweekly podcasts. That is such a great show. Two weeks without an iPod showed me how dependent I am on it!
I have been on Facebook for about six weeks and I just don't get it. I find it hard to find actual content in the cluttered group pages, I am baffled by the constant barrage of applications to be a zombie or whatever. And now they are broadcasting information about what you buy at partner sites to your friends. I will probably deactivate my account sometime soon. There are many things I have found more worthy of my attention. Luckily the folks I am most connected to there are also on Lj. *grin*
