Dinner & Second Life
Jan. 17th, 2007 02:12 pmLast night Russell and I had dinner with
sbisson and
marypcb. Good food and much geeking about their adventures at CES was had. More hangout time promised for Friday. Yay!
Today Second Life was supposed to be down from 7am-noon. But the current estimates are 3pm. I have the viewer open on my desk so that the moment it goes from the big red OFFLINE to ONLINE I will know. So much for the various tours and classes planned today by librarians from the list. Having the system down on Wednesday mornings a couple of times a month seems excessive. I must admit that I am an addict! Hah! It came up at 2pm. Time to take my lunch!
Btw, I have taken a couple of before pictures of the land which I have added to the Falkenrath flickrstream. I will be doing some more updates with Scar's great new hot tubs and the cave back up. Maybe a little of my lake-in-progress. I'm kinda stalled on the waterfall thing.
(Edit: 2:17pm - it went back down again! Wah! At least I downloaded the new version of the viewer. But sheesh!)
