My week and more prezzies
Jan. 5th, 2007 06:51 pmI guess I haven't been posting because I'm hopping into SL alot. But I've been reading journals a fair amount, catching up a bit after the holidays.
Tuesday we had a wonderful family dinner at Gambardella's. I am not enjoying the diet and probably trespassed on it with my vongole pizza, but only because it was more oily than I expected. Fiona is going to be taking zoology and marine biology next semester. I envy her the quality of her college.
Wednesday Russell talked to Duquette and found out that the horrible fireplace probably was on a cornered out wall that used to have a cabinet. Huh. I'll be interested in what they find when they remove it, but that won't be for several months as they are quite booked up.
Thursday we got massages from Tina and I enjoyed Umbanda choir practice even though I'm going to miss the New Year's Bembe this weekend. I'm being selfish and having it as just a birthday day.
In Second Life I volunteered to lead tours next week for librarians who want to get a bit more fashion sense. I'll show them the freebie zones and give them links to lots of for-fee skin and clothing and hair stores. This has meant a good bit of going around and making sure memory serves about shops and locations. I'm really excited that I'll be able to do this. I'm almost done with my notecards. I keep saying I want more time to learn to build and such but I keep volunteering for people jobs, so there you have it.
1/2 - Who Are You People?: A Personal Journey into the Heart of Fanatical Passion in America from Russell's Mom
1/3 - butterfly puzzle & needlepointed bag from Brigid
1/4 - Earth Democracy: Justice, Sustainability, and Peace from Satin and Marks & Spencers Organic Orange Vanilla biscuits from Monica. I could just sit down and eat the whole packet. Yum! Then Erika & Tristan got here and Erika gave me an orchid, some chocolates and a wonderful Italian orange liquer with a beautiful Chinese painting as a card.
1/5 - The Challenge: Growing Within the Orisa Community from Russell's Mom. And the new Damh the Bard CD from
