rowanf: (Fun is my spiritual path)
Tuesday we had a nice Tuesday dinner. Since Marina & I hadn't gotten our fondue for our birthdays we had it then. I surely do like hot cheese. I can feel my arteries hardening now. ;-)

Wednesday Kurt & I went caching at lunch and got a puzzle cache we had DNF'd on the day before. I haven't gotten in my usual level of walking this week though. This isn't good... esp. with all the cheese. Today with the patent meeting and a lawyer talk over (provided) lunch I ate too much and got zero exercise. I haven't even hit a half mile by 4pm! I usually have made that by mid-morning just walking to the printer. And with rehearsals tonight and Saturday and the Dave Barry talk tomorrow I probably won't get that much walking in this weekend. Well, I do plan to walk downtown to see Barry speak if its not raining. Maybe I can even find the elusive cache on 4th Street on my way. Must exercise somehow!

Found out that [livejournal.com profile] rubibees is definitely coming to visit after P'Con. *happy dance* NCLC is planning a reception on 3/31. Will think about that *after* the P'Con madness is finished. Every year I tell myself I will take it easier next year. Why can't I remember that when people start asking me to do things? Not that everything isn't a *fun* thing. And I didn't propose any workshops myself this year which is an improvement in my stress level. But two rituals, helping out with several talks and making a cheesecake for the tasting is absolutely it. I want to sit in the NROOGD/CoG hospitality suite and chat with people. I want to go listen to talks and attend rituals for which I have no responsibility. Things like that. Friends don't let friends volunteer for anything else. I promise I won't ask you... unless you'd like to donate a gourmet cheesecake.

Random notes:

[livejournal.com profile] mr_kurt showed me a site where folks post the movies they make with a movie making game. Someone has made a short animated film inspired by a Suzy McKee Charnas short story, Boobs, I've always liked. You can see B(r)easts here. I'm really impressed.

Several people have posted the link to my email for Hastings Jack-in-the-Green. Lots of cool Morris pictures of this "Jack" which was revived in the 1980's by a Morris side in Hastings. Very cool.
