weekend doings

Friday was a normal day. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to. gwebbyhead came by and measured me to for a silk pirate shirt. We had originally meant to have silk ponchos dyed specially for us for the handfasting, but Je'Sennia went to Hawaii for the summer and has flaked out on us. *sniff* But Gwen is stepping into the breach and we'll get actually shirts that fit instead of just dyed fabric. This is better! I'm really jazzed! We will be gorgeous!

I was supposed to have lunch with Marina, but she had forgotten Arthur's class at the Rep and by the time we might have gotten together it was too late. So I took myself up to Mountain View early and ate a lovely salad at the Country Gourmet. I am on a low acid diet again. I spent all last week not realizing I was having acid reflux as I blamed my stomach upset on various things. By Thursday night I took aciphex and went on the diet and I can tell that was the real problem. *sigh* Then I went to my Alexander appointment. I found it frustrating. I understand that they don't really want you to know what they are doing so you won't try to "help" and use all the wrong muscles. But the control freak in my rebels. I don't know if I'll go back. Certainly not soon as the next couple of months are majorly crazy and I don't want to start something just now. Or maybe that is just an excuse to keep my bad habits. :-)

Russell ate at the beer bust so I didn't have to make dinner. So I could just have a nice low acid sandwich. We finished watching Kiki's Delivery Service. He hadn't seen it before. I like it but it is definitely meant for a younger audience than most of Miyazaki's work.

Saturday morning we went to the Mini Gourmet for breakfast. It was hard figuring out what would fit in my diet. Russell asked me for a French Dip was and I decided that would be perfect. *grin* Russell headed off to Pismo Beach and I headed to San Francisco. Gwen had inspired me to get things for my top hat decoration, so I went by Mendels. They were out of black ostrich plumes but I got some black tulle with stars in it, black velvet ribbon and some maroon accent feathers. I also found some mini-sharpies at the check out counter that I just could't resist - pink, orange, teal and purple!

Then off to the CoG meeting. I am now officially in the Assembly of Solitaries. My first time not being a coven-based member. We had a good meeting. It is a little too long before MerryMeet for there to be enough issues to really discuss but it is our last meeting before Grand Council so we did our best. I left as soon as the meeting was other and met mr_kurt for dinner at Flames prior to going to see Mr & Mrs Smith. I had the low cal plate with halibut. Yum! They actually had 2% milkfat cottage cheese so I could eat it. The movie was fun and silly. I think it is actually the best movie Kurt & I have ever seen together. (My movie fidelity agreement with Russell meaning that I see most good ones wth him.)

I need to stop typing and get ready to go off to the archery range. Then maybe to the Los Altos Art & Wine Festival. We'll see. It looks like it might be a really hot day today.
