Eleusinian and such

year. I confess I had been a little worried, esp. after our less than stellar rehearsal earlier in the day. But we all pulled it together. Darrin & Russell sound great singing together. This should happen more often. :-)
My dance was okay, I guess. The "chorus" forgot the words to the song I was dancing to which, I felt, took away from the meaning of my dance. *sigh* But I really felt Persephone aftewards when I was walking down the lane after the "Make Way for the Queen of Hell!" line. She was strong and confident and filled with majesty. Very cool feeling. *grin* Everyone thought my Cretan costume was pretty good, judging by the compliments afterward. Naturally neither Russell nor I thought to bring a camera.
Today I didn't have anything but life maintenance, grocery shopping and the COG Board conference call. One conference call and I am feeling burnt out. As I suspected, despite someone else being the name running, Thorn considers herself co-Second and on the Board for next year. I *really* think she is term limited out but I am not neutral about it. I will let Glenn deal with this. I really shouldn't have run for co-First. It was too soon after being pursewarden. I am going to have to be very, very careful to recognize how close to the bleeding edge of burnout I am and act from a place of centeredness. Eep. Why do I do this to myself?!
