Tuesday night family dinner was at Olive Garden where I had just a couple of pieces of italian sausage, olive, onion & tomato pizza. I have to assume it was the sausage that kept me up all night with stomach problems. *sigh* So, not wishing to be too far away from my own bathroom, today I worked from home part of the day and slept part of the day. Ick. I keep saying I didn't eat enough to get that sick, but evidently I'm wrong about that. ;-)

About 4pm the woman I gave my name to about being a Kucinich volunteer phoned and asked if I could come to an organizing meeting tonight. Amazingly enough, Russell was out and since I usually save my Wednesday for him, I was free. So I spent the evening down at the Union Hall finding out more about how to help get the campaign going in the local area. I met some really nice people and heard more about doing a house party and I'll probably do some tabling at the SJ Farmer's Market many Fridays. They don't have that one set up yet so I have to find out who to contact about having a table. Oh well. I am always meaning to check out the San Pedro Square market. I've gotten out of the Farmer's Market habit since the huge Friday market that used to be where Santana Row now is was closed down. I got a binder of Dennis' position papers which I look forward to reading. I have read a lot of them over time and on the web but somehow this feels more compact and real. *laugh* And I'm a geek so I imagine that a lot of folks aren't all that comfortable with the web info. I volunteered to help make localized flyers and things. I'm told the Kucinich campaign website is getting updated more often. Someone mentioned that Dennis has a blog with an RSS feed. I wonder if it is up on Lj yet. :-) I've been thinking aobut a Kucinich for President Lj community, a place where people who are working for him or thinking about his campaign to talk and share experiences and ideas. There are 83 people on Lj who list "Dennis Kucinich" as an interest (including me, of course).

*yawn* Well. It is way past my bedtime and the high from political organizing & schmoozing is wearing off. I'll think about all this... tomorrow!
