Back at work
I am safely back one and working this morning. *yawn* Despite how well I did sleeping fairly regular hours at COG I do seem to have some sleep deficit.
I see that in my previous note I didn't say anything about the Mask Ritual that we have been working on all this time. It went really well and was a much better opening ritual than I had expected. I still think the dancing was a little long but it was also very beautiful and people came up to me all day saying how wonderful it was. Someone said they esp. liked the diving move that I did which was the hardest on my back. I almost cut it but the fish really wanted diving/salmon leap moves in there so I did it. I'm glad someone noticed.
The other ritual I was in was the Living Tarot on Saturday night and it also went really well. I think the quality of ritual at this Merrymeet was very high. I really enjoyed reprising my role as Empress and working with Nette, Gwen and all the cards, esp. Don who was reprising the Emperor and Glenn who was High Priestess. *LOL* COG's new first officers as tarot archetypes. :-)
The pace of the meeting tightened up a bit on Saturday and we were able to finish council by 6pm (leaving me to rush to get into costume for the 6pm rehearsal and no time to join the earlier makeup call). The business of the Covenant has been accomplished for another year. The new budget has a generous amount of money in it for Barcelona stipends. I think we'll have at least a dozen COG Witches at the Parliament of the World's Religions. This is great news. I pitched my youth scholarship and got another donation on the spot but I am still way behind where I had hoped to be by now.
Next year's MM will be in Dallas, TX again. The year after in Albuquerque. (No one from the East coast stepped forward.
