Phases full moon
Aug. 12th, 2003 06:36 amLast night I went up to McLaren Park in San Francisco to attend a full moon circle. Ian & Sue Corrigan were visiting and it seemed sufficient inducement to skip bellydancing and go say "hi". But, oh my. The moon! The colors of the sky! If no people had been there it would have been worth going just for the sunset and the moonrise. I did have a nice visit with Ian and Sue, with Rachael & Greg, with Macha and Prudence and with several other friends. And we sang "The Moon is High Above the Hill" after awhile. But the high point was being out on that hill while the sky put on a light show for us. I envy the Phases folk who do this every full moon. To have a compass rose on a hill at which to hold full moons is a blessing. I have been up for sabbats a few times but this full moon makes me consider going more regularly. If only it weren't so far away.
This morning the moon hung in the sky, far to the south this time of year. I love driving into moonset. I listened to Lisa Thiel because morning news just seemed so jarring and foreign. I wanted to remain in a magical, beautiful space. Life is good.
Tonight I'm scheduld to have dinner with Rebecca and go to a rhythm class of some kind that she recommends. Tomorrow I am actually home. Then I am scheduled right up until I leave for Grand Council next Wednesday. I think I need a day of rest in there somewhere!
A brief on fuck - very funny!
