books and packing
Apr. 23rd, 2003 07:13 amNot much to write about this week. I've been snowed under at work getting ready for leaving on holiday. I am *so* ready to be doing nothing but sightseeing and hanging out with Russell. More packing to do, of course, but I'm enjoying the process - I went to Recycle and bought a bunch of murder mysteries yesterday. Just the sort of thing to read and leave in a B&B somewhere. And I bought Edward Rutherfurd's Forest which I didn't know existed. I *really* liked Sarum and London and felt the Mitchner-like generational perspective on an area really deepened my appreciation. How could I resist a book on the New Forest!?
Speaking of books, Russell asked me to be sure to take out the trash tonight since he'll be out and I wrote TRASH on a note to myself. Using the current book I'm reading as a writing surface. So "TRASH" is now embossed on the cover of Dragon Bones by Patricia Briggs which really isn't fair as I'm quite enjoying it. *LOL* I hope to finish this and its sequel Dragon Blood before I leave.
( Worse than a quiz even - its battle imps! )
