rowanf: (rowan dancer)
Yesterday was a really nice day, but so busy I never got to really write about it. I had lots of interesting searching at work and a huge stack of books to check in. (Someone decided to clean his office and donate all his JAVA and DHTML books to thee library.) I had a lovely lunch with Kurt & Marina at the Creekside Inn. I had cider glazed pork loin, Marina had a prawn & scallop dish and Kurt had a chicken sandwich. The food there is expensive for lunch but incredibly good. The crowning high point of the day was that [livejournal.com profile] sbisson, [livejournal.com profile] marypcb and [livejournal.com profile] ocean_song came to dinner. Ocean_song wasn't feeling very well and pooped out on the couch but the rest of us had several hours of great conversation after dinner. Too bad there is usually a continent and an ocean between us. :-) These are some of my favorite folks. Oh well. Russell & I will see them in London in May so it won't be so long.

This morning I woke up and didn't really want Russell to head off to work. *sniff* Too bad there is so much going on this weekend, we'll hardly get to see each other. I managed to get my car to the dealership for service and smog. I was totally bummed to find out that the BMW office of Enterprise isn't renting to Saturn customers anymore. They have to shuttle you down the street to a different Enterprise office. Saturn's service amenities are getting fewer and fewer. They service rep says there is no way they are going back to having their *own* rental cars like they used do. I'm really glad my next car will be from someone else. Now if someone would just come out with a hybrid wagon so I can get one!

I'm hanging out waiting to see if [livejournal.com profile] sbisson and [livejournal.com profile] marypcb want to go out to breakfast. I hope they call soon, I'm getting hungry!

This afternoon is the Planetree open house which I promised I'd go help with and then circle tonight. I want a nap already. *wry grin*

The world is often weirder than I think... Japanese nipple scarves... really!

I loathe quiz diva quizzes (I have to go to IE to take them and there are all those stupid pop ups and dirty pictures) but I couldn't resist this one. )
