stormin' finally
Feb. 25th, 2003 07:08 amWell, I managed to get through the day yesterday without more than a nap at lunch. I did have a big energy crash just at 4:30 when I left work.
So I decided not to go dancing but instead buy a few last things for Tuesday dinner and then go home to sleep. Hah! Great plans. I got off at 85 and Steven's Creek and stopped at Togo's for a sandwich. Thunder rolled (and the glass window shook like plastic) and the rains came. It was incredibly scary watching that glass shake! I then headed to Whole Foods for my groceries. Bad mistake! The power was now out so there were no traffic lights and TONS of traffic. Whole Foods had no power and was closed. It took 45 minutes to get from 85 to De Anza to get back on 280!
That totally used up what energy I had so I have to shop tonight before dinner which puts me on a tighter schedule than I like. And I think I have one more person coming to dinner than I have chairs. *sigh*
If I didn't have Brighid's Flame today I'd probably be all antsy and anxious but somehow having the flame is allowing me a reserve of calm that I can draw on. Brighid Cumhadach De Orainn!
