catching up
Feb. 12th, 2003 04:18 pmLet's see its Wednesday already. Amazing how time just floats by when you are in sleep deficit mode. I have actually managed to get quite a bit done at work. And I even found time to create a couple of new Lj icons since I can now add some. Wheee!
Sunday I went to a Bridge CC meeting to talk about where we want to take our interfaith efforts and whether we want to get involved in the partnership cities program that the parliament has going. We had a lovely dinner provided for Helen and most of the core folks were able to attend. I don't know exactly where we're going from here... but we did make progress and we'll continue it at our next meeting.
Monday I did go to Petra's but dancing for very long was not possible. My body is still recovering from the strep. Only one more day of antibiotics though for which I am quite grateful.
Tuesday I went to BFUU for the Pombagira devotional, kind of a warm up for the one on Friday. There was an interested BFUU neighbor who stopped in and watched. She had no idea who we were or what we were doing. It was interesting to listen to people greeting her and filling in basic info. I went out for Pomba a little. Not as easily as I expected and fairly in-and-out. She moved my arms too much but basically it was a good time. I did a consult but only got Olodumare wanting me to burn a white candle (which I set up in the temple this morning).
I heard from Fabiano and, as I suspected from the recent silence, he isn't going to make it to PantheaCon. Probably a combination of expenses and the difficulty in getting visas. Having had trouble getting one to enter Brazil I don't have any trouble believing Brazilians having trouble getting here. *sigh* Guess my anticipated house party this weekend will be a couple of one night overnighters and Russell tells me at least one of those got a hotel room. I was looking forward to playing hostess. :-)
Home tonight! I finally will get to see Russell. Between our successive illnesses and schedules I feel way behind on home with Russell time.
