a busy weekend

We had a really nice, if somewhat busy weekend. Saturday I went up to the City for a rehearsal of the mask ritual at Rebecca's house. We all had our costumes pretty much together and were able to try out the kiosks we're emerging from. I think it will work. And we're definitely hitting our stride with the dancing.
Then I rushed home and took a quick shower before going over to a reception for an out-of-town friend. We had a lovely afternoon visiting and then did her elevation in the evening. Very moving and wonderful.
Sunday we went to the last day of the Heart of the Forest Renaissance Faire in Novato. It was in the mid-70's and so not too hot but I took off my bodice and just wore my lace shirt before too long. Luckily there was a good bit of shade. The only show we saw was Robin Hood, Prince of Leaves. It was hilarious, if somewhat untrue to the canon. Maid Marion's cousin, Maid Maggie was esp. fun. *chortle* I spent too much money (tm) but good some great things. Russell bought me leather bodice as a Yule present that I am looking forward to getting. *pout* You mean I have to wait until December!
The traffic getting to Novato wasn't back but coming home it was awful. We cut across Berkeley and took 580 to 680 to get away from the 80/880 corridor. The traffic news for the whole Bay sounded grim. Concerts, fires, accidents and more. Not fun. I vegged and watched a couple of Buffy episodes from Season Four. (Thank you
